Originally from Winnipeg, Councillor Debbie Hart moved with her family to Ignace in 1995. Before long, they adapted to the natural beauties and relaxed pace that Ignace has to offer.
Debbie was elected to Council in 2018 and is excited to be involved with Ignace’s plan for economic growth and development. Debbie brings with her administrative experience in Education as well as in Finance.
In addition to her work as a councillor, Debbie’s volunteer positions include:
• Crossroads Employment and Training Resource Center
• Ignace Policing Committee
• Teens in Motion
• Healthy Communities Working Group
• Ignace School Council
Debbie believes that Ignace can easily become a more prosperous community by promoting its ideal location and enhancing its natural outdoor beauties while still preserving its quaint appeal. Working together to embody our Community Improvement Plan (CIP) will assist Ignace in reaching its full potential. Through hard work and dedication, Debbie is confident that the Township can achieve these goals and focus on Ignace being a place that we all can be proud to call home!
