The Ignace Recreation Committee (IRC) is a committee of Council and its mandate is to work with Council to provide recreational programming to the community. The committee is comprised of active volunteers from the community, one member of council and the Recreation Programmer. Members work together to encourage, advise and support other individuals, groups and/or organizations who conduct recreational activities in the community. Furthermore, the committee plans and organizes a number of their own events each year. 

If you are passionate about our parks, recreation and culture, and want to help us strenghten and increase recreational opportunities, we invite you to consider serving on the IRC. The committee meets in the Multi-purpose Room at the Municipal Office Building once a month.
