The National Current Affairs - National/International Media
The National Current Affairs media and TV Crew were in Ignace this summer to conduct and film an episode on Canada's First Ever Deep Geological Repository which featured the Township of Ignace and our ongoing efforts to economic prosperity to the Community. RESOLUTION - MOTION #2024.03.08.054
THAT, The Corporation of the Township of Ignace wishes to formally enter into an Agreement with the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) for the potential to become one of the host communities for the sitting of a deep geological repostitory near Ignace and to be located on the traditional territory of the Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation.
