In response to a Snowfall Warning in effect for the area of Ignace a Significant Weather Event has been declared. This decision is made pursuant to Ontario Regulation, 239/02, Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways.

The Township of Ignace is advising all residents to use extra caution when travelling as the Township my not be able to meet maintenance standards due to the accumulation of heavy snowfall over the next 48 hours.

This declaration will not change winter maintenance on Township roads and there are no road closures expected at this time. Roads in the Township will not be plowed during overnight hours with plowing to continue commencing at 6:30am.
