The Township of Ignace and Northern Water Works are aware of growing public concern regarding the potential of atypical algae that may be present in the source lake for drinking water.  As such, both parties are taking the precautionary measures of microcystin sampling at this time to ensure public safety.  We will keep the public updated on any further developments.
