Important Notice – Ignace 5K / 10K Marathon
Please be advised that the Ignace 5K/10K Marathon will take place this Sunday from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
During this time, there will be runners on various roads throughout the community as outlined on the official race map. We kindly ask all residents and visitors to please drive with caution, reduce speed, and be mindful of participants on the roadways.
Your patience and cooperation help ensure a safe and successful event for everyone involved.

The Township of Ignace recently received a one-time lump sum payment of $10 Million from the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) for the “Discretionary Benefit” obligations set out in the March 18, 2024, Municipal Hosting Agreement. The funds in the Ignace Municipal Hosting Agreement are set aside for contingency utilization or discretionary funding and available to the host community for development, infrastructure preparedness and continued investments...Contiued
